CURLS
A little flash in an exploding nerve ending
bursts as the absentminded finger slides
catching a curl for a moment
snapping like a spring
Entangling flights of fantasy
within convoluted whorls
Ringlets that imprison kinaesthetics
in constrained braided coils
A wave follows the proprioception,
ascending as unrefined elation rides
ascending as unrefined elation rides
on the shoulders of a blissful torrent
that rolls, whirlpools, coils
in loops and oversees the disassembly
of reason, by an anthology of curls
falling out from a tress-full of tricks
leaving fantigue unexplained
Touch and elation lie thus blended
intermingling in the ebb and fall of tides
spinning in a sudden rip current
The braided twirl glistening
resting in unhindered repose, gently
basking in the attention it deserves
And the world stops to stare transfixed
at untamed natural curls
