DUELS IN SPACE

I can see how life perceived from that angle

can be skewed in perspective

and make existence monochromatic

An actor and a poet is always at disadvantage

as all the thoughts collective

can be construed as dramatic

No elixir exists to sift the trash from truth

and all attempts at corrective

bounces off the wall diplomatic

You cannot perceive how much of you is in me

not when understanding is selective

and based on reactions symptomatic

All I do is smile helpless at the situation

Wait in patience with mood positive

perambulating the solace of my attic
