THE AWAKENING
But only you feel it all day and all night
The heartache,
the yearning that pulls every fiber
the yearning that pulls every fiber
Every long second, when you’re not together
This is a story bereft of ending
Scripting discovery in every beginning
In every held chance,
In every sweet dance
In every sweet dance
It builds and grows as time allows
It is bewildering, to feel so alive
Soothing, relaxing and so comforting
It is uncanny, when a feeling so strong
Takes you in its grip
like the winds of a storm
like the winds of a storm
That tosses you helpless leaving you stranded
On a lonely shore with a yearning for more
You count the days,
the hours, the minutes
the hours, the minutes
Until connection dissolves separation
Until the world disappears
and warm togetherness
replaces fears
replaces fears
And in this fragment of singular thought
You seize the moment caring not
For consequences that may or may not
change the future or build defences
As caution flies like the rays of the sun
You lie in the now,
in the making of one
in the making of one
The making of memories , cheerfully wrought
With mind and body in action and thought
adding chapters
to the story penned
to the story penned
To a page descriptive so new, so creative
Call it awakening or call it the light
But only you feel it all day and all night
